Parmel & Glen’s Ucluelet, BC Elopement

An elopement at Black Rock Resort in Ucluelet, BC, was the kind of day that lingers with you; raw, emotional, and wrapped in the wild beauty of the Pacific Coast. The resort’s iconic black volcanic rocks, endless ocean views, and the rhythmic crash of waves created a setting that felt both dramatic and deeply peaceful. It was the perfect backdrop for a couple who wanted a day centred on meaning, not spectacle.

The ocean played a quiet but powerful role in their celebration. Mist floated along the shoreline, the breeze carried the scent of saltwater, and the sea stretched out endlessly behind them, untamed, honest, and beautiful. The landscape around Black Rock has a way of making everything feel more vivid, and for Parmel and Glen, it amplified every emotion of the day. Just steps from the resort, every corner felt like a postcard.

Their wedding was intentionally small, with only their parents present, just the people who mattered most. This intimacy shaped every part of the experience. Without a crowd or timeline to worry about, the day unfolded gently and naturally. There was space for quiet moments, soft conversations, and the kind of closeness that can only happen when the guest list fits around a single dinner table.

Before their ceremony, Parmel and Glen exchanged private vows, a moment just for the two of them, tucked away from everything else. Afterward, they walked down to a beautiful, hidden cove where their parents waited, surrounded by rugged rocks and the low roar of the ocean. The ceremony felt sacred, almost otherworldly, held in this natural cathedral shaped by the coastline. It was simple, heartfelt, and absolutely unforgettable, the perfect reflection of who they are and the love they share.
