Where Love Becomes Art

ch. 01 / welcome

Where               Becomes            and Every Film is a Poetic

Your wedding day will move faster than you can imagine. The fleeting glances, the quiet moments before the ceremony, the way your hands find each other in a crowded room...all of it deserves to be remembered, not just in images, but in movement, sound, and feeling. A film allows you to step back into the day, to hear the laughter, see the emotion in real time, and feel the depth of it all over again.

Long after the flowers have dried and the music has faded, your film will bring you back — to the vows, the joy, the energy of the people who surrounded you. It’s a way to hold onto the moments that might otherwise slip away, preserving them in a way that feels just as alive as the day itself.

ch. 02 / the artist

there,

Filmmaker, wife, lover of the forest and the sea. Since 2019, I've been documenting love stories and traveling the world. Based in Vancouver, I'm drawn to the quiet, in-between moments that make a love story real. Roar Me Wild began on roads less traveled, where I fell in love with capturing emotions as they naturally unfold — unedited, unscripted, deeply felt.

To me, a wedding film isn’t just a record of the day; it’s a way to hold onto how it felt. The laughter, the nerves, the way your voices shake during your vows. My goal is to create something honest and timeless — something you’ll return to, not just to see what happened, but to feel it all over again.

"She not only captured our wedding day, but the essence of the love we share"

Shayla was so amazing to work with! She put in so much time and effort and went above and beyond to capture not only our wedding day, but also the essence of our relationship and the love we share. We could not recommend her more as a videographer for your big day. We have received so many compliments about our video and watching it brought us right back to our wedding day. Thank you Shayla!

Katrina & Josh

"Shayla's happiness and passion for love is contagious, and having her be a part of your day will make it that much more special. "

We were on the fence about hiring a videographer, but when we finally decided to, I … immediately knew Shayla was the one. She captures all the special raw moments emotions perfectly. We could not be happier with the videos she has made for us and we are so grateful to have them to look back on over the years. She is so passionate about what she does and it really shows. There were days I would feel so stressed, up to my neck in planning. And she would message to check in, or send us a package with a date night challenge, and it would immediately remind me of the happiness and excitement and shift my focus from the stress.

Dane & Danielle

"I feel like that time she spends getting acquainted translates to the work she does…"

Shayla is amazing. Simply put, she cares. Not only is that extremely evident in the final product (which we were blown away), but the fact that she spends a significant amount of her time getting to know the couple, as people… In this case, and it isn't hyperbole, Shayla went above and beyond on every level and delivered on everything she said she would. The final product was awesome: super well edited and hit every aspect of our wedding weekend. She put some serious hours into this. That's obvious. Thank you Shayla. You captured lifetime memories and it was worth every penny.

I've already got about 30 stamps in my passport, and I'm always looking to add some more. Traveling among friends, seeing new places, trying new things... isn't that what life's about? I'd be honored to tell your story around the globe.

Some moments unfold in stillness. A hand grazing tall grass. A deep breath before the vows. The quiet comfort of being seen, held, known. These are the kinds of connections I’m drawn to — the ones rooted in nature, in each other, and in your truest self. I’m there to notice them, to feel them with you, and to document what they become.
